German power metal legends Helloween have officially announced their brand-new studio album, “Giants & Monsters”, set for release on August 29, 2025. The band broke the news via a playful and characteristically self-aware post on social media, confirming that the album is complete and revealing the full track list.
According to the band, the album was born out of a studio session where they “summoned some giants, wrestled a few monsters,” and came out the other side with a fresh batch of songs. “Giants & Monsters” will feature ten new tracks that promise to blend epic riffing, soaring vocals, and the signature blend of humor and heart that has made Helloween a cornerstone of European metal for four decades.

Alongside the announcement, Helloween also unveiled the album cover, a striking visual crafted by acclaimed artist Eliran Kantor, known for his work with Testament, Helloween’s previous self-titled album, and many others in the metal realm.
Kantor shared insight into the artwork, explaining: “With the previous album cover giving the spotlight to the Keeper, I wanted this one to allow Jack O’ to get the focus. With uplifting lyrics about mankind’s positive inner potential, Jack O’ manifests an everflowing fountain of water ushering a flood that’s drowning the monsters. The style of the painting itself is a tip of the hat to the video games I grew up on—those were the superheroes that had an impact on me, and I still reach out to those playful instincts when approaching creativity.”
The artwork is rich in symbolism and detail, offering fans a visual puzzle to explore ahead of the album’s release. In typical Helloween fashion, fans are encouraged to dive in and see what hidden elements they can spot.
Giants & Monsters follows the band’s critically acclaimed 2021 self-titled album, which marked the reunion of classic members Michael Kiske and Kai Hansen with the modern lineup. With momentum still high and anticipation building, the August 29 release of Giants & Monsters is poised to be one of the year’s most anticipated events in the metal world.
