After a sold-out North American run, King Diamond will bring his theatrical horror-metal spectacle back to Europe in summer 2025. The tour supports The Institute, the band’s first studio album in nearly two decades, and promises an immersive continuation of the Saint Lucifer’s Hospital narrative that debuted onstage this year.
Spanning major European festivals and club dates, the trek kicks off June 4 at Sweden Rock Festival and wraps August 8 at Hellsinki Metal Fest in Finland. Support on select dates will include UK doom pioneers Paradise Lost, NWOBHM legends Angel Witch, and goth-metal act Unto Others. Tickets go on sale Friday, December 13 at 9 a.m. UK / 10 a.m. CET.

Known for pioneering a uniquely theatrical strain of heavy metal that inspired the likes of Ghost, King Diamond continues to blur the lines between concert and macabre stage play. The current live production builds on a 1920s horror narrative involving experimental medicine, fractured timelines, and a gothic asylum known as Saint Lucifer’s Hospital.
The band’s lineup features longtime collaborators Andy La Rocque and Mike Wead (guitars), Pontus Egberg (bass), and Matt Thompson (drums).
The Institute, will mark King Diamond’s first studio release since 2007’s Give Me Your Soul… Please. Conceived as a two-part concept album, it extends the band’s legacy of narrative-driven, genre-defining metal.
