OPERATION EUROPE:LIVECRIME
Legendary vocalist Geoff Tate (ex-QUEENSRŸCHE) kicks off the European leg of the “Operation Mindcrime: The Final Chapter” tour on March 28, 2026, in Gosheim, Germany. The tour will see the Heavy Metal icon perform Queensrÿche’s seminal masterpiece Operation:Mindcrime in its entirety for the final time on a three week tour with dates spanning Germany, Cyprus, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Turkey, Serbia, Croatia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Switzerland. The tour culminates on April 18, 2026, in Aschaffenburg, Germany, before returning stateside for its next leg.
“Operation Mindcrime: The Final Chapter” coincides with the imminent release of Geoff Tate’s solo album Operation:Mindcrime III on May 3, 2026. The final (?) instalment in the greatest conceptual rock opera of all time follows on from the previous two critically acclaimed instalments, now with the delicious twist that this concluding chapter is told from the perspective of central protagonist Nikki’s nemesis Dr. X during the events of the original diegesis, shedding further light on the existential necessity of the “underground revolution working overtime” …
And with a little good fortune, it’s not entirely inconceivable that Geoff may preview some music from Operation:Mindcrime III on this tour.
At the exact time that the capitalist system so accurately portrayed in Geoff’s creative zeniths on Queensrÿche’s Operation:Mindcrime, Rage For Order, and Empire and throughout his solo work finds itself on its knees, the Operation Mindcrime: The Final Chapter tour is just what the doctor ordered. With western democracy imploding, the confounded masses in search of direction could do far worse than revisit Tate classics such as ‘Revolution Calling’, ‘Speak’, ‘Spreading The Disease’, and ‘Eyes Of A Stranger’ in an intimate and authentic live setting.
Once again, this tour will be the last time the magisterial Operation:Mindcrime will ever be performed in its entirety. Right at the precise moment in history that it reveals itself to have been prophecy all along.
