Amorphis New Single “Bones” Teases New Album “Borderland”

Finnish prog-metal mainstays Amorphis have released “Bones”, the second single from their upcoming album, Borderland, due out September 26 via Reigning Phoenix. Where “Light And Shadow” offered a shimmer of optimism, “Bones” drags us into heavier, bleaker terrain – complete with doomy riffs, Eastern-tinged strings, and rich, atmospheric keyboards. You can hear it below!

Tomi Joutsen’s clean vocals pierce the gloom with flashes of clarity, while keyboardist Santeri Kallio, who penned the track, calls it “the heaviest song on the record.” If Borderland is meant to be a journey through ancient struggle and survival, “Bones” is where the real fight begins.
