It’s that time of year again where we take a break from the horrors of the world to celebrate all things spooky! And what better way to celebrate than by taking a look at what some of our favorite musicians wore for Halloween?
This year, we decided to take a look at some of the best costumes our favorite musicians have worn this year. From James Hetfield in his classic black leather jacket and sunglasses, to MGK and his bae channeling the 90’s, these musicians know how to bring the horror factor on Halloween!
James Hetfield (Metallica)
The legendary Metallica frontman James Hetfield decided to return the favor to the Strager Things TV show for the attention it brought them in the season finale by dressing up as Eddie Munson, the likeable D&D and heavy metal nerd.
Charlie Benante (Anthrax) and Carla Harvey (Butcher Babies)
This iconic heavy metal couple, Carla Harvey from Butcher Babies and the Anthrax and soon-to-be Pantera drummer Charlie Benante took things to the Galaxy Far Far Away by dressing up as the titular character from The Mandalorian and Asoka Tano, Darth Vader’s former Padawan.
Mike Wengren (Disturbed)
Anthrax drummer and his beau aren’t the only Star Wars fans on this list. Disturbed’s Mike Wengren also donned the iconic plate armor. Now, who wore it better?
Jordan Buckley & Keith Buckley (Every Time I Die)
The recently disbanded Every Time I Die’s Jordan Buckley dressed up as the iconic Bart Simpson, while his brother Keith donned a simple Chewbacca mask (or is it Chewbacca).
Brann Dailor (Mastodon)
If Mastodon’s Brann Dailor isn’t the scariest clown you’ve seen this Halloween, we dread to know who is.
Taylor Momsen (The Pretty Reckless)
Her costume may not be the most original or intricate, but no one rocks those fishnets like Momsen.
Corey Taylor (Slipknot)
Given how many days a year Corey Taylor rocks a mask, you wouldn’t be wrong to expect him to just dress down on this day. But Corey Taylor still opted in for a dash of nostalgia with the Stay-Puft Marshmallow Man instead. New stage outfit confirmed?
Brooks Wackerman (Avenged Sevenfold)
The popular heavy metal outfit’s stickman, Brooks Wackerman, opted for a classic horror look.

Evanescence
The popular goth metal outfit went as… themselves?
Herman Li (Dragonforce)
Someone tell the shredder that slutty outfits aren’t mandatory – especially for middle aged men.

Machine Gun Kelly & Megan Fox
The infamous rapper-turned-pop-punker revisited his role as Motley Crue’s Tommy Lee, while his beau channeled her inner Pamela Anderson.
